The floor heating / cooling system Multibeton offers ideal conditions of comfort in all seasons. The room temperature is appropriate and ensures hygienic conditions for users through absence of air movement or dust. The floor is warm in winter, and cool in summer. Complete freedom is allowed in house planning and decoration. The underfloor system Multibeton, fed by any energy source, offers conditions of comfort and well-being, saving a considerable amount of energy in comparison with traditional heating systems. It can be installed in any place (houses, offices, shops, churches, sports or educational centres), irrespective of the selected type of floor.
MBH is the exclusive distributor in Greece of the German company MULTIBETON GmbH’s underfloor heating and cooling system, with a pink plastic polypropylene pipe and metallic support strips as its main components. It is also the exclusive distributor of the plastic Multipex pipes, manufactured by the German company BECKER PLASTICS Gmbh. The system comes with a lengthy warranty.

Floor Heating Pipes

a) MULTIBETON (MB – CLASSIC)
The MULTIBETON pipe is made from random copolymer polypropylene (RCC), with an outside diameter of 17mm and a wall thickness of 2mm, manufactured according to DIN 8077 and checked according to DIN 8078-2 by TUV (TECHNISCHES UPERWACHUNGS VEREIN) or other equivalent organisation. When being laid under the floor, the pipe is heated by hot water at 60οC passing through it so that it can comfortably have a minimum bending diameter of 20cm.

b) MULTIPEX
The five-layered MULTIPEX pipe (DIN 16892/3), manufactured by BECKER PLASTICS in Germany, is made from high-density cross-linked polyethylene (PE-xc) and protected with a multi-layered oxygen barrier. In addition, the oxygen barrier has a protective coating according to DIN 4726. The flexible pipe MULTIPEX can be laid easily and quickly. When being laid under the floor, the pipe is heated by hot water at 50οC passing through it so that it can comfortably have a minimum bending diameter of 15cm.

The length of the circuits does not exceed 100m so as to ensure a low pressure-drop and even heating of the areas with no thermal zones.

Mounting of floor heating pipes

a) Metallic mounting strips MULTIBETON:
To mount floor heating pipes, special metallic support strips (sectional strips) made from galvanised sheet are used, which are placed in distances of no more than 2m. The pipes are fastened to the strips. The strips are placed loose, with no anchors.

b) Plastic mounting strips:
Alternatively, to mount floor heating pipes, instead of metallic strips, special plastic support strips (sectional strips) are used, which are placed in distances of no more than 2m. The pipes are fastened to the strips. The strips are placed loose or with anchors where required.
